More Fun in the Sun
Pewaukee, WI—New Harken UV shirts are the perfect companion whether you're sailing, kayaking, running, or relaxing outside. These UPF50+ shirts block 98% of UV rays, making it safe to work and play all day. A new white T-shirt, in comparison, is only UPF5.
"You'd never guess these shirts were made from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles. They have a lightweight, silky feel that’s much more comfortable than cotton," says Harken Sport Design and Production Manager Heidi Harken.
A UV shirt keeps up to 3 discarded 2-liter bottles out of landfills. The shirts are also made with bamboo charcoal, a renewable and sustainable resource that naturally fights odor-causing microbes. The environmentally friendly blend is woven into a relaxed fit that breathes and wicks moisture away from the skin. Chafing is never a concern because all seams are made with flatlock stitching and are placed away from chafe-prone areas. The UV shirt also includes a discreet accessory pocket for a cell phone or MP3 player.
Men's sizes S-XXL in ice/carbon and white/navy. Women's sizes XS-XL in ice/mist, ice/carbon, and white/navy.
