Pewaukee, WI—You don't have to dress down for stability and comfort; Harken's new Classic Leather shoes have the polished look of traditional boat shoes with the fit of modern athletic deck shoes. Their waterproof-treated genuine leather exterior conceals a quick-drying interior, a one-way water drainage system, active arch support, and a shock-absorbing midsole. Harken's proven radial tread pattern provides grip in all directions.

"We pioneered the first athletic deck shoes in 1985 for their superior performance and support," says Harken Sport Design and Production Manager Heidi Harken, "but this new shoe combines those advantages with traditional styling. The Classic Leather deck shoe reflects sailing as a sport—high-tech affair with a refined past."

For the 2010 season Harken has also expanded the popular Hydroflux and Vortex deck shoe lines with new colors. The Hydroflux line now includes the yellow-trimmed men's Solar and lilac-trimmed women's Mist styles. The new men's Navy/Ice Vortex is a light gray with navy mesh.

All Harken deck shoes feature quick-drying materials and have full-length molded EVA midsoles for toe-to-heel comfort and support. Silver-woven footbeds kill odor-causing bacteria while the stability track and wider toe box improve balance.
