Harken Yacht Equipment announced that it has opened its newest wholly owned sales and service office
to support the strong growth in Europe's Adriatic region. Led by Mitja Margon as managing director, the office
will be responsible for OEM customers and will assist with events where Harken is present.
A long-time independent Harken distributor, Margon is a technically knowledgeable world class sailor and industry professional. He represented Slovenia in the 470 at three Olympic Games and is also an experienced big boat sailor. Margon will continue to use his strong racing experience to support sailing events for Harken.
Before joining Harken Adriatik, Margon operated Seaway TiM, an independent
Harken distribution office in Slovenia. "It was a big thing for me and Seaway TiM when I was invited to join Harken," said Margon. "We were a distributor for almost five years and it is a privilege for me
to work even more closely with the Harken team. I'm confident the efforts of
Harken Adriatik will expand our presence in the region as well as the surrounding global markets."
