Sydney, Australia—Harken Australia has appointed Jean-Pierre (JP) Macquet as Melbourne Technical Service Representative. JP is based out of Melbourne.
"JP will handle any servicing requirements on behalf of Harken Australia. JP brings a wealth of marine experience and has undertaken many varied roles throughout his professional life, making him ideal for the position," said Managing Director Carl Watson. "Harken is pleased to have JP as a member of its expanding dedicated servicing team."
From Farr 40s to Volvo 70s, JP has sailed an array of boats in a variety of roles. He’s competed in many international regattas, including:

JP's boatbuilding and background as a shipwright gives him the necessary skills to meet the high expectations placed on Harken servicing representatives.
He
will assist with winch installations and will complete service work to the quickly growing racing fleet in Victoria.
