Pants, casual shorts, new colors added to Ballistic Eco line.

Ballistic Eco Line

Pewaukee, WI—Building on the popularity of its 2009 Ballistic Eco Shorts, Harken now offers 3 new colors and expands the line to include Ballistic Eco Pants and casual Eco Shorts. Unlike typical hiking shorts and pants, Ballistic Eco Pants use rear and knee reinforcement panels made of stretch material for total freedom of movement. The Shorts have all the great features of the Eco Ballistic Shorts and Pants, except they're designed for sports or casual activities where the reinforcements and foam inserts aren't necessary.

"Sailors loved the toughness and barely-there mobility of our Ballistic Eco Shorts so much that we couldn't keep them on the shelf," explains Design and Production Manager Heidi Harken. "The new shorts and pants mean you can enjoy the comfort of our original shorts while sailing in cooler climates, at the office, on the court, or just working around the house."

The Eco line is made from an environmentally friendly blend of antimicrobial bamboo charcoal and odor-fighting carbon. In addition to 4-way stretch and abrasion resistance, this Harken-exclusive technical fabric dries quickly, breathes, wicks moisture, and has a soft brushed interior that helps regulate temperature. Shorts and pants include a diamond crotch gusset for mobility, extra-deep hand pockets, a zippered leg pocket, two back pockets, a semi-elastic waistband, double-stitched seams, and YKK zippers.

Men's sizes 28 to 42. Colors include carbon, sand, navy, and rust.
