Sydney, Australia—Harken Australia has appointed Adam (Brownie) Brown Queensland Sales & Marketing Manager. Adam is based out of SE Queensland.
"Adam is the first point of contact for all chandleries and boat builders requiring Harken Product out of Queensland and fills an extremely important role representing Harken in this strong growth state", said Managing Director Carl Watson. "The Harken team welcomes Adam onboard."
Adam has been sailing, managing and campaigning dinghies, one-designs, ocean racing yachts and maxi boats for some 20 years and has competed in many regattas on the east coast as well as overseas. Adam has raced in 16 Sydney to Hobart's and recently returned from Airlie Beach where he managed a crewed charter boat cooperative comprised of 26 diverse vessels called Oz Adventure Sailing.
Currently, Adam is sailing on Bob Steels new Harken-fitted TP52 Quest for the Southport, Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island regattas.
