Holds Sheets under High Loads
Speeds Line Retrieval
Pewaukee, WI— This powerful three-speed winch is used on megayachts. Its wide-diameter drum holds extremely high loads, and speeds line retrieval when sheeting.
Winches can be driven by electric or hydraulic power and come in stainless, stainless/aluminum, all aluminum, and in self-tailing or top-cleat styles. Aluminum winches can be grey-anodized on request.
"This winch meets our customer’s needs,” comments Custom Sales Manager Corinne Rich. “Not only is the 1145 ideal for high-load primary and secondary winch applications, but an optional backwind feature lets trimmers ease high loads off the drum before completely releasing the sheet.”
Gears and pins are 17-4PH stainless steel for maximum strength and durability.
Low-maintenance PEEK® (polyether ether ketone) roller bearings reduce friction
and are extremely durable. Bearings resist moisture absorption and do not swell in
an environment with very close tolerances.
The 1145 can be manufactured with a base sheave—useful for feeding a line onto another winch and on boats with limited winches. This sheave is available in free-spinning and ratcheting configurations.
