MAINSAIL USE CHART

Choose the correct Battcar components by following the steps below.
Owners of unusual boats please call your dealer.

1.Sail Area
Choose the correct size batten traveler system based on sail area.

Call your sailmaker for information on the number and configuration of cars required. Each system needs one headboard assembly, the correct number of batten end cars, and short luff cars. Your sail will need modification.

3. Track
Use the chart below to determine the correct number of track sections.

4. Spars with Internal Groove
Each size system offers slugs that fit flat or round mast grooves. Mounting kits include enough slugs to fit one track, plus fasteners, Loctite® and a connector slug. Order one mounting kit for each track section.

5. Spars without Internal Groove
If your mast does not have an internal sail track attach a conventional Harken® traveler track by drilling and tapping the spar. System A uses 2720 low beam track with 2724 splice links; System B uses 1616 low-beam track with 1619 splice links; System C uses 3154 low-beam track or 3162 Air Track® with 3153 splice links. Order low beam traveler endstops.

6. Endstop Kit
Order one endstop kit. It includes two endstops, fasteners, and special mounting slugs for track ends.
