IDENTIFYING FURLERS

MKI Roll Pin—MKI
These furlers have a series number stamped into the aluminum on top of the spool. For example: 1-189 indicates the furler is a Unit 1 built in January 1989.

MKII
The series number has been eliminated, but changes in style indicate the furler is an MKII.

A. L ine spool is plastic.
B. Spool comes in two halves.
C.Torque tube tapers at the top.
D. Halyard swivel is "Air" style.

MKIII
A. Two black line guards replace stainless steel cover.
B. Aluminum anodizing is black instead of grey.

IDENTIFYING UNIT SIZE
The size of all Roll Pin and MKI furlers is indicated by the first number of the Series Number

OOAL
1. Tack attachment is not on an independent swivel and is riveted to torque tube.
2. Measurement across top is 5 3/4" (146 mm).

Unit 0
1. Tack is on independent swivel
2. Measurement across top is 5 3/4" (146 mm)
3. Clevis pin diameter: 5/16" (8 mm); 3/8" (9.5 mm); 7/16" (11 mm).

Unit 1
1. Measurement across top of drum is 7 1/2" (190.5 mm).
2. Clevis pin diameter is 1/2 " (12.7 mm).

Unit 2
1. Measurement across top of drum is 9 1/2" (241 mm).
2. Clevis pin diameter is 5/8" (16 mm).

Unit 3
1. Measurement across top of drum is 12 1/8" (308 mm).
2. Clevis pin diameter is 3/4"(19 mm); 7/8" (22 mm).
3. Torque tube length is 13" (330 mm).

Unit 3.25
1. Measurement across top of drum is 12 1/8" (308 mm).
2. Clevis pin diameter is 7/8" (22 mm); 1" (25.4 mm).
3.Torque Tube length is 15" (381 mm).
