Pewaukee, WI—Harken proudly shares the announcements that founders, Peter and Olaf Harken, have been inducted into the National Sailing Hall of Fame (NSHOF). Today, the NSHOF announced that Peter and Olaf will join Henry H. Anderson Jr., Nathaniel Bowditch, Carl Eichenlaub, L. Francis Herreshoff, George O’Day, and John B. Kilroy as the 2014 class of inductees. The NSHOF recognizes sailors who have made outstanding contributions to the sport of sailing in order to preserve its history and impact on American culture, while inspiring the next generation of sailors.
All these sailors have made incredible contributions to the sailing community; Peter and Olaf Harken are no exception. Since 1967, Peter and Olaf have continuously reinvented sailboat hardware to ensure high-quality, top-of-the-line products for both racers and cruisers.
