Warehouse Operative

Role Overview
Harken UK are looking for an experienced warehouse operative to join their existing team. This is a multifaceted role which incorporates both hands on light manufacturing and kitting work and also traditional warehouse functions including picking and packing orders, conducting stock checks and organising shipments. 

As a member of our warehouse team you will need to be happy working under your own initiative, be confident using stock control software and have experience of a busy warehouse environment. As this role does include an element of light manufacturing work you will also need to be a naturally practical person who enjoys hands on work.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Goods In - (Stock Intake) Checking, Booking In
  • Support the inventory-checking program, which may include full physical stock checks, in order to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Build kits in line with company guidelines and quality procedures
  • Support manufacturing work in line with company guidelines and quality procedures
  • Organise outgoing shipments both within the UK and Globally using a mixture of couriers, postal services and shipping companies
  • Pick, pack and dispatch orders
  • Ensure accurate and timely despatch of orders

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • 2 years' experience in a Busy Warehouse Environment
  • Experience using Stock Control Software, Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Experience using Basic Power Tools
  • High Attention to Detail

Desirable

 

  • Stock Control Experience
  • Manufacturing and/or Kiting experience
  • Experience in either the marine or industrial sector

Location, Salary and Hours

  • Full time hours (8:30am - 5:30pm) located at our head office in Lymington, Hampshire.
  • Competitive Salary
  • 30 Days holiday per year (including bank holiday)
